Public Open House for City’s Strategic Parking Plan – 4/28

The City of Cedar Rapids, in partnership with its consultant Kimley‑Horn, is continuing work on the Strategic Parking Plan, a comprehensive effort focused on improving parking access and the overall customer experience in Downtown, Kingston Village, Czech Village, and New Bohemia.

The Project Team will host an in‑person open house in the Cedar Rapids Public Library (450 5th Ave SE) from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. This event will be an opportunity to:

• Learn about the Strategic Parking Plan
• Review proposed parking strategies
• Share feedback and ideas directly with the project team

Project summary and proposed recommendation boards will be available for review, and staff will be on hand to answer attendee questions. Learn more at the plan webpage.
