City Budget FY27

City Manager Pomeranz presented the Fiscal Year 2027 budget (for fiscal year ending June 30, 2027) to the Mayor and City Council in February.  Per Iowa Code Section 24.2A, the notice of public hearing for property tax revenue and levy for the City of Cedar Rapids budget can be found at CityofCR.com/Budget

The budget serves as the City’s financial and spending plan for the year. The proposed budget will authorize resources and establish a direction for our programs and services for the coming year.

The City provides the following services: public safety, public works, solid waste collection, animal control, parking, ground transportation, community development and municipal water and sewer. The City also provides cultural and recreational opportunities through various departments and commissions.
